ANNOYING HOME PROBLEMS

What do I need to stop this thing from moving?

Before replacing furniture or flooring, fix the contact point. Sliding, shifting, and curling problems are often solved by the right gripper, pad, anchor, or adjustment.

Diagnose the movement before buying the fix

Ask what is moving, what it is touching, and why. A couch may slide because smooth feet sit on smooth flooring. A mattress may move because the frame is oversized. A rug corner may curl because the backing has taken a set. The right fix changes when the cause changes.

Protect the surface you are fixing

A solution that stops movement but damages a hardwood finish is not a good solution. Check product instructions for the exact floor or furniture material, especially with adhesives, rubber compounds, and grippers. When in doubt, test a small hidden area first.
